Congresses

Over the years, the Shrine of Fatima has regularly promoted a collection of initiatives of a highly reflective nature, within a consistent, updated and interdisciplinary theological and pastoral reading of the event of Fatima. This collection includes a wide range of activities such as Congresses and Symposia - organized in collaboration with the Theological Faculty of the Catholic University of Portugal - meetings and conferences, which themes go across the cores of the message of Fatima in many different ways, by rereading them in the light of the evangelical message to which they closely tie themselves and in the light of the challenges of the contemporaneity to which they proposed themselves as a challenge, a semantic horizon and a point of reflection for believers and nonbeliever.

Curso sobre a mensagem de Fatima_intro.jpg

Courses

The formative dimension is one of the main concerns of the Shrine of Fatima, becoming therefore an important element within the proposals presented to its pilgrims. The courses that have been offered - either directed to all pilgrims and all who are interested, or more directed to groups of specific action and knowledge areas - reveal a singular demand for the meaning and experience of the message and spirituality of Fatima, for the reflectively extending of the core contents of the Christian faith, mainly those that Fatima recalls, and for an appeal to an effective faithful life of commitment and testimony.

Cycles of Conferences

Based on the content established in the Thematic Itinerary for the celebrative septenary of the Centennial of the apparitions of Fatima, specialists from different fields have been reflecting on the topicality of the message of Fatima. These conferences cycles proposed by the Shrine of Fatima convey an important effort of reflection of faith that has been one of its pastoral concern.
