Sanctuary of Fátima adds Mass in Polish to its official schedule

The addition of a daily celebration stems from the growing number of pilgrims coming from Poland.

The official schedule of the Sanctuary of Fátima will now include a daily Mass in Polish during the summer schedule, in response to the growing number of pilgrim groups coming from Poland.

The Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Apparitions from October 3 to 31 of this year, and will then be suspended during the winter schedule. The Polish Mass will resume in the 2027 summer schedule, when the new hours take effect on Easter Sunday.

The addition of this Mass to the official schedule is intended to respond to the significant increase in the number of Polish pilgrims at the Sanctuary. In 2022, 235 groups were registered, totaling 9,335 pilgrims from Poland. That number rose to 373 groups and 17,808 pilgrims in 2023, and to 550 groups and 24,224 pilgrims in 2024. In 2025, the Sanctuary received 518 groups, amounting to 23,007 Polish pilgrims.

The growth trend continues in 2026. Between January 1 and June 30, 268 groups from Poland have already been registered, totaling 17,760 pilgrims.

With the addition of the Polish Mass to the summer schedule, the Sanctuary will now offer four regular official celebrations in foreign languages during this period: Mass in Italian, daily, at 8:00 a.m.; in English, Monday through Friday, at 3:30 p.m.; in Spanish, daily, at 7:15 p.m.; and, starting in October, in Polish, daily, at 7:00 a.m. In the winter schedule, the official Mass in Spanish remains on Saturdays at 7:15 p.m.
