Pope Francis remembered the pilgrims who in these days, are on pilgrimage to Fatima

In his usual greeting to Portuguese-speaking pilgrims at the weekly public audience, the Holy Father entrusted the desire for peace in the world to Our Lady.

This morning, May 11, at the weekly public audience in St. Peter's Square, the Holy Father recalled the pilgrims who, in these days, are heading to Cova da Iria to participate in the celebrations of the first International Anniversary Pilgrimage of 2022.

“My thoughts are also with those who in these days are on their way to the Shrine of Fatima, bringing to Our Lady the joys and concerns of their hearts,” said the Supreme Pontiff, in his customary greeting to Portuguese-speaking pilgrims.

“United with these brothers and sisters of ours, we too entrust our burning desire for peace in the world to the Virgin Mary, who enfolds everyone with her maternal gaze,” concluded Pope Francis, who five years ago, on May 13, 2017, canonised Francisco and Jacinta Marto during the celebrations of the centenary of the Apparitions, which he presided over in Cova da Iria.
